Tell Your Story.

ABOUT ME

Francesca Mezzio, born and raised in Rochester, New York began her passionate and devoted dance career at the age of five years old. She has spent the last 14 years refining her craft in a competitive setting. Over the years, she has trained in a wide range of genres including: ballet, commercial jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and fusion. This diverse training has helped to shape her approach with movement and storytelling, and it’s led her to currently pursue a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Commercial Dance at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

MY STORY

Francesca was born with a Hearing Impairment identified as, Lateral Vestibular Aqueduct Syndrome, where she grew up being very limited to the activities that she was able to participate in. Dance has been her outlet from the moment she could walk. It wasn’t until she was a freshman in high school when she found her love for telling stories through movement. It has been her way of communicating with the audience. Her hearing loss has motivated her to become the best version that she can be not just for herself, but for others too. Each movement is connected to an element of the story. Dance has pushed her beyond measures to view different ranges in movement qualities, musicality, and body awareness.

Down below is her segment on 13 Wham News from August 2020 where they shared her story and accomplishments during an uncertain time. Your encourage to take a few minute to watch her story and learn more about how she has become the dancer she is today.
